Airline service: next time you think, ‘it couldn’t be worse’, think of these people...

Cracked magazine (remember them from the old, off-line days?) has compiled a list of seven airline horror stories. Our personal fave: #2, in which a doctor, ethnically Indian, is prevented from using the restroom, arrested upon landing and interrogated by the FBI. Then the other passengers are given an apology and voucher. It is amazing how most airlines seem to be trying harder to make customers hate them – raising fees for checked baggage, making it impossible to ask a question by phone, etc. We realize the industry is in trouble financially, but there seems to be a fundamental disconnect between these decisions and the reality that the key to any rescue is going to have to be patronage by customers. Don’t know about you, but we’re not inclined to lend a helping hand to any company that treats us badly. The full story can be found here.
