If you’ve ever wondered just how much of your life slips away while you slog through tax and other government paperwork, spare a thought for our neighbours across the Pacific: the U.S. government has released a report indicating Americans spent 10 billion hours filling in government forms last year. That’s up ten-fold from the turn of the century. And equal to 30+ hours per person per year. Crikey! It's the curse of

Crikey! It's the curse of modern life. This is a massive opportunity for the government or entrenpeneurs to solve this problem.

The tax office has made things better with electronic filing of the annual return. GST is still a pain in the butt though.

I'm waiting for the report to come out about how many hours people waste on Facebook and filling in comments on  Customer Underground :)
