This Week's Top 5: Budget Bitch's Sydney Businesses That'll Save You Money!
Guest starring on Customer Underground this week is money-saving maven the Budget Bitch, with her top 5 great businesses that won’t lighten the wallet too much. (She herself has received raves from mavens for her coaching on getting finances in order.)
A budget is a basic financial plan that keeps you from spending more than you earn whilst also enjoying the good things in life. Therefore, it’s important to look for good quality products and service at the best possible price. Whilst there are people who say “you’ll get monkeys if you only pay peanuts”, I can assure you that some of the very best goods and services are available at very affordable prices. You only have to look -
- Emroy Print & Design, in Miranda – I recently ordered new business cards from this printer because I’d heard some good reports about this business. The reports were true – the service was excellent, the speed was quicker than I had imagined (it took just a week from ordering to having them delivered to my door) and the price was extremely good. The quality of the new business cards is certainly better than I expected, considering the small cost. It certainly beats the off-shore companies that bombard me with offers. I’d rather keep my dollars in Australia and my printing at Emroy from now on.
- The New Chambers Restaurant, in Belmont Street, Sutherland. I hesitate to tell you about this place, because it’s so good that if it becomes too popular, I won’t be able to get a table in the future. (It’s already busy enough as it is.) The Hatzikiriakos family serve traditional Greek food which doesn’t cost a fortune and is always served with a smile. It’s one of my favourite places to eat.
- The Best Little Bookshop in Town, Cronulla – This shop has an aura that just makes you want to sit down with a good book. I love to read, and am always impressed with the selection and price of the books they have on offer in this place. The name says it all!
- Fletcher Tax Accounting, in Lindfield: Good sensible advice at an affordable price. They specialise in compliance and tax matters for small business, sole traders and property investors.
- REX Airlines: I fly often between Sydney, Albury and other regional areas and whilst I need reliability, I appreciate good customer service. (Of course, price is also important.) The crew from Regional Express are fabulous and I can relate many incidences where they have gone ‘over and above’ the call of duty to ensure the comfort of their customers. With a good record of being ‘on-time’ and competitive prices – this is one airline that should never be overlooked.
So you see, when it comes to good value and good pricing it certainly pays to keep your eyes and ears open. I know that I can always make my money go a bit further without foregoing quality; can you?
