This Week's Top 5: Fave Veg Sydney Spots!

As an antidote to last week’s carnivorous focus, this week we’re bringing you five favourite vegetarian-friendly spots in Sydney on Customer Underground.  We’d love to hear about more faves – review yours!

1. Bodhi:  Tucked away under the trees by Cook & Philip pool in the CBD, Bodhi is a vegetarian yum cha spot.  Mavens are fans of the “delish” food, “no waiting time”, and “quiet and leafy” setting.  Lucky calls it “the perfect place to lunch”.
2. Yulli’s:  With a hipster bar vibe at night, and cafe feel during the day, this Surry Hills spot gets maven love for the service, “good beer” (and drinks), and “very tasty nibbles” that are all vegetarian; Mel K says it’s food “even a carnivore can love”.
3. Aki’s:  If you’re in the mood for something chichi, and want veggo options, then mavens recommend this Indian spot on the Woolloomooloo wharf, citing “lighter, fresher, and more innovative” food, “attentive” service, and the “fabulous setting”.  BMZ says “Aki’s is a delight”.
4. Laurie’s Vegetarian Takeaway:  Emma has tipped us off about this Bondi spot, saying it’s got “the best veggie burgers” that are “nothing short of awesome” – so good that apparently even non-veggos are fans.  Other pluses?  “Super cheap” and “lots of handsome men”!
5. La Mint:  Mavens are fans of this East Sydney French-Vietnamese, with “yummy” food (the salt & pepper tofu gets special mention), “pleasant decor” and “great healthy and vegetarian options on the menu”.  Expert veggo maven Emma says: “definitely worth trying”.
