This Week's Top Five: Favourite Sandwiches of Sydney!
This week, we send our second weekly "Notes from the Underground" tips sheet. Below is the text, on five favourite sandwiches on the Underground. Have we missed your favourite? Want to weigh into the debate on one of these? Log in or Join us and have your say!
We at Customer Underground are food-focused again this week, bringing to you some relief for lunchtimes: favourite Sydney sandwich-eries. Have we missed your fave? Review it!
- Little Vienna (and also Hunter Street): With multiple locations in the CBD, this sandwich shop gets mavens’ thumbs-up for the fast service and big sandwiches; Uncle Chop Chopsays they have elevated “sandwich making to an art form”
- Taste Baguette: A French-Vietnamese gem, Taste has several outlets in the CBD and gets raves for its unusual sandwiches and great value prices; Emma says “Win win”.
- Collier’s Sandwich Company: Collier’s is a favourite of the CU team, since it’s just around the corner from our office in Woolloomooloo. Died on Hold calls it “the best sandwich shop in Sydney”!
- I’m Starvin’: Moneypenny calls this CBD shop’s sandwiches “in the Roger Federer class”. Mavens highlight the roast beef and steak sandwiches – though, not to worry, “there’s something for carnivores and vegevores alike”.
- Via Abercrombie: Hidden away in a little CBD lane, this spot gets high marks for the food, and the service; though Cleapatra warns us that the sandwiches are the size of “two meals”. Apparently the people who started this moved on to Kings Lane Sandwiches in Darlinghurst, which also gets maven love.

Next week’s Five Favourites will be Surry Hills spots; what’s your fave place in SH? Review it!
Thank you for all your reviews - keep 'em coming! We look forward to hearing more from you, dear mavens. As always, feedback is always welcome. We’re also on Facebook and Twitter – friend/follow us for more Underground love.
