Meh - they weren't great and as an ex-customer I don't miss em

I was an AAPT mobile phone customer before I decided to switch everything - home phone, internet, mobile - to Telstra. Service was always fairly reliable and I didn't notice any particular problem with coverage in Sydney (where I live) compared with other service providers I've used. The most unpleasant part of the experience came only when I purported to leave AAPT. They were quite overtly rude and unpleasant when I informed them; even worse was when I discovered my mobile number had not ported across properly to Telstra. At first it didn't work at all, then, as I recall, I couldn't dial or receive calls from anyone who was not on the AAPT network. Telstra claimed the fault lay with AAPT and its inadequate porting across of my number. But AAPT were gleefully and quite aggressively unhelpful, more or less overtly telling me they weren't helping because I was no longer a customer. In due course, whether at AAPT's end or Telstra's, the problem was fixed, but only after several weeks of unreliable service and missed calls. I found AAPT's refusal to assist, and what seemed to be a deliberately unco-operative stance a major annoyance. It had, I guess, only one positive - I'd never go back to them as a customer.
