On a corporate tab and looking for a curry
Very good Indian food in a fabulous setting
The food at Aki's is very good, but the main reason to come here instead of other very good Indian restaurants is the setting: the wharf at Woolloomooloo. The bonus is prompt, friendly service (only flaw is the before-mentioned credit card policy). Food-wise, everything I've tried is excellent; I'm particularly addicted to the spinach chaat entree. A great way to enjoy beautiful outdoor seating at the wharf at a place that is friendly, unpretentious, has good food, and relatively reasonably priced.
Delicious Indian food
Delicious Indian food which is lighter, fresher and more innovative than the usual selection at Indian restaurants. The service is attentive and, encouragingly, the waiters seem to be very proud of the food that they serve. Great location on Woolloomooloo wharf. The only criticism that I have is the silly policy of only accepting 3 credit cards per table. This just doesn't work in many situations and is an unnecssary inconveniece at the end of what is otherwise an excellent experience.
