Seems competent enough

ANZ seems competent enough – ie I have never experienced any gross errors. While some service provisions are a little frustrating – ie you can’t talk to someone in the bank about the bank’s own credit cards even if you are standing right there, you have to call a phone number – the people behind the counters/desks always seem friendly and competent. But then I’ve never been too taxing a customer. My only pet peeve with ANZ is with their online banking – when paying off credit card balances, you can only see the remaining credit on the card, not the amount owed – not difficult math to calculate even for those of us who are math challenged, but still, citing the amount owed just seems like a logical thing to do…I’d recommend ANZ to people new in Oz – they seem to have the least stringent standards of any of the Big 4 Banks with respect to non-Oz citizens setting up their first Oz checking account and credit cards.
