Fantastic free art gallery not to be missed
Sydney Art Gallery is an unforgettable place in the centre of a beautiful park. The gallery itself is a wonderful old building and inside is an extremely good collection of 19th through to 21st century art. Some of the highlights for me were the Pre- Raphaelite paintings and the sculptures by Rodin and Degas. Currently until the 29th of August 2010 is an exhibition called "Victorian Visions" this includes a few lovely William Waterhouse paintings and a wonderful Holman Hunt for any fans of the television series 'Desperate Romantics" don't miss this. There is also a great collection of early Australian Art as well as contemporary, which reminds you of what life was once like in this country, adored the painting of early bathers. One of the best things about the Art Gallery is the fact that it is free so you can go back as often as you want as there is so much to see.
