Excellent coffee, but a bit pricey for a cafe
Bacco is extremely well-located, being right in the main ground floor entrance to Chifley. And has good light and plenty of seating. But clearly the premium location comes with premium rent, which is surely why the prices are premium too (at least for eat-in). The minimum-price lunch item, a slice of pizza, was $9. However, the coffee was excellent, and, because the seating is congenial, it's a good spot to come for a coffee or lunch meeting, or if you're lingering yourself at the big communal table - i.e., if you're staying long enough to justify the prices as rent for a CBD perch.
Best coffee in Sydney
I really enjoy the coffee at Bacco. It's stong without being bitter and reminds me of the best coffee I had when I was travelling in Italy. It is, in my view, the best coffee in Sydney.
The cakes and panini look good too. I've only ever tried the canolli and remember that it was yummy, but not easy with any elegance.
