Yummy wine & nibbles. Good service.
Went here for a drink after work with the squeeze. Loved the tall ceilings and the marble cafe tables. I ordered a couple of glasses of the Pino from NZ ($14/glass) and the hubby got two cokes. (Needed sugar more than alcohol...rough day). The wine was excellent, although the pour seemed a little light. They gave us complimentary olives, bread sticks & spicy bar mix which was very good. We ordered the hummus dip platter which was generous and reasonably priced. I was debating between 3 and 4 stars, because it was pretty cool, and I enjoyed myself, but something seemed a little "off." The environment was a little harsh and cold. Sort of "echo-y cold vault" vs. "vibrant, warm, east-coast library/wine room." Final verdict = definitely good for a drink, but maybe better later in the week (we went on a Monday evening) when there would be more people, and the atmosphere would be more lively.
Great place for a quality champagne
Great place for a quality champagne. Best private party venue I've ever been to. If you ask, they'll let you eat from the resturant menu in the bar. Very friendly staff.
Lovely, intimate spot in the CBD
Bambini Trust feels like an oasis in the CBD, with its warm, intimate atmosphere. The food is nice, and the people-watching at breakfast in the restaurant is great fun. But the wine bar is my favorite - a great place to come with one or two friends to have a chat over nibbles & wine, or for a date.
