Groovy Chilled Vibe
I like coming to the Cleveland for the chance to sit outside and watch the world go by. The quesadeias are good value if you want to share something with a friend and the selection of beer is pretty good. I used to rate them quite highly, but the last one I had was a ltitle lean on the chicken and chilli. Might have been a bad day.
The upstairs bar is more my fave inside part of the hotel- its great for private parties. The poor old Cleveland has been hammered by the bike lanes being put in and deserves a wee bit of love from the locals.
Amongst a homogenous offering of bars in the inner city Bar Cleveland has a unique atmosphere.

Bar Cleveland, located at Cleveland St, Redfern is an unpretentious waterhole popular with locals of Surry Hills and Redfern. The bar has been configured to create an intimate and homely feel, wooden floors and candles lining the bar accentuate this approach. Clientele is typical of the local demographic, eclectic. The recently revamped bistro does an excellent steak at an affordable price. Bar staff are friendly and accommodating, making the experience enjoyable compared with the less personable approach of other bars.
