Absolutely sensation modern, but still country, B&B
This was a wedding anniversary/without the kids getaway and we loved it. The place is part of a property about 10 mins west of Orange that once housed a different B&B, 'Bed of Roses'. The Inn is a reconverted shearing shed (really) and it's superbly and quite ingeniously designed. The manager/owner Helen Napier is outstanding: knowledgeable about Orange's many good restaurants/bars, extremely pleasant and hospitable, and her cooking at breakfast (sensibly, even modest sized portions but 3 courses and delicious (eggs, polenta, fresh jams, good coffee etc.) was excellent. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable without being over the top fancy. If I had a complaint, it was that the mattress was a little softer than I'm used to. But that's the worst I can think to say about a place I loved and can't wait to return to. Truly close to the best B&B experience I can recall having in Australia.
