Dim Sum and then some...

Bodhi sits under (appropriately) a tree in scenic Sydney Park near the Cathedral. The food is delish with steamed dumplings, rice rolls, and desserts that will surprise you. As a bonus, you don't have to try to distinguish the chicken from the pork as it is all vegetarian fare. My only issue is that on a rainy day the inside seating is dark and cramped. On a sunny day, however, nothing beats it.

Very well priced, delicious Asian vego in a lovely leafy CBD spot

I've had nothing but good experiences here, always: it's a lovely spot at Cook & Phillip Park; service always seems pretty swift and the food is both quite cheap, esp. for Sydney CBD lunch, and delicious - and this is from a carnivore who's normally hostile to vegetarian food. In all, I can't recommend it enough - about the first place I think of when someone tells me they want to eat vegetarian out in Sydney.

just worth it

Great food and lovely in the sunshine, but terrible service.

We had a really enjoyable lunch at Bodhi. The location is lovely for spring time, and the food comes out fast enough for a work lunch break.

While being a vegan restaurant, there was a surprisingly large selection of dishes, and even our friend who "doesn't like Asian food" was happy with the coconut potato balls and vegetable spring rolls.

I was determined to eat dumplings and by the time they came round I was stuffed from all the other choices we hadn't been able to decline. Naturally I ate them anyway.

The only real downside was the service. We were given drinks menus when we first sat down but no one came back to take our order till half-way through the meal. By the time we got our drinks we were almost ready to leave.

We would have liked some extra sauces, but based on the service for drinks we saw no point in even bothering to ask. I'm not sure why the service was so bad. The place wasn't rushed and the staff just all seemed to constantly disappear. The level of service I'd been warned about beforehand so I wasn't surprised, although a little disappointed.

Still, I'd definitely recommend Bodhi to anyone looking for somewhere around this end of town to lunch, or for any vegans who love their yum cha!

Good workday lunch venue - outdoors & no waiting time

After being couped up in an office all day, this is the perfect place to lunch - outdoors, surrounded by trees.

The  menu is innovative and great that you can "inspect" the food before deciding what to choose.

All tastes are catered for - there are steamed options, deep-fried options, cold vegetables, hot vegetables.  So everyone will find something they like to eat

Delicious dumplings, great location, and vegetarian!

I'm not a vegetarian, and am always flummoxed when it comes to choosing a place that suits vegetarian friends & family, so I was so pleased to discover Bodhi!  I love the atmosphere - although super-central (just at Cook & Philip pool complex) it is totally tucked away and in the midst of the greenery, so it is quiet and leafy.  And the food is really yummy - lots and lots of different kinds of dumplings.  My vegetarian mother-in-law totally loved it!  And I have enjoyed the food every time I've been there  - enough that I've not even missed the meat...
