Churrasco: Woolloomooloo

Having heard the hype and booked the date, a trip to Churrasco Sydney was set in motion; and after my first experience there, I can confidently say that Churrasco caters towards a wide demographic of customers. These include (but of course not limited to) individuals with a palate tuned to fresly grilled meats, but also those proficient in sign language, individuals suffering from muteness, introverts, individuals gifted with extraordinarily loud voices and groups of friends with a distaste in conversing with one another.

Forget trying to strike up a conversation regarding the latest goss in theoretical physics, stellar rental yields or your new found interest in floristry - your friends will not be able to hear you. Even the waitresses seemed to have difficulty trying to collect drink orders; an issue perhaps partially rectified with visual confirmation via an electronic PDA, a thumbs up and curt nod.

Deafening environment aside, the food was ok. Should you choose their Churrascaria menu, waiters and waitresses will walk around with plates of cheese, pineapple, chicken, steak, sausages and other assorted barbequeued meats; allowing you to point, nod and eat as much as you like. Their Brazilian chicken - tender, moist with a nice herbal flavour was quite spectacular. Service was slow at times, with food coming around to tables at sporadic intervals.

All round - a decent place to go if you have a bit of time, a hankering for a plate full of meat and the ability to smile sweetly and nod at whatever your friends try to say.
