the Ditzy Tart

New to Bondi, I was searching for a place to grab a bite to eat, hang with friends, enjoy a coffee, and relax with a nice glass of red. With so many options in the area- both locally owned and chain restaurants- I found it hard to find that special place that suited all my wants, needs, and desires. That is, until I came across the Ditzy Tart Cafe on Curlewis Street. This place is a true treasure to Bondi, with a warm, happy atmosphere spilling out its doors and a super friendly staff that make you feel like you've known each other for years. Their simple menu changes fortnightly, consisting of a few starter options, a vego or meat loving entree, and some amazing dessert options that are second only to mum (and even that's debatable). Homestyle meals for dinner make my after work routine rather predictable: stop home. grab boyfriend. head to ditzy tart. enjoy warm meal and delicious glass of wine, with a side of genial conversation and a tasty dessert to make it complete. Weekend brunch has never been the same, with their bacon and egg sandwiches being unmatched. The mismatched furniture and vintage-esque dishwears make this place feel cozy and kitschy, and any one of their 3 sofas serve as the perfect backdrop for a social gathering of friends and colleagues. Kid friendly atmosphere (there are toys in the coffee table to keep the kiddies amused), and THE BEST hazelnut "blondies" I've ever tasted. This is my new favourite local, and I'm ecstatic I've found my all-around-perfect place to start, and even end, my days!
