Feel at liberty to eat everything
Emma's is one of the inner West's best kept neighbourhood secrets - for the best Lebanese food outside of Lakemba or Fairfield, look no further. Flavoursome, light (not heavy on the oil, hurrah) and tasty food, served in a bustling atmosphere. And the service is terrific - Emma and her family are warm, friendly and helpful. The downside is that it's always packed (and it's cash only, but Emma tells you that on the phone when you book and again when she confirms the booking, so there are no surprises), and it can get kind of squeezy as it's a small place. But the locals know that if you ring your order through, you can get it to go - the best Friday night takeaway treat ever. Moorish chicken and the baklava are highly recommended, but there isn't a dud on the menu.
