This place is a great new cafe. Great location, great coffee, great service and great food,

I went to foodies for breakfast and it was a memorable experience. The barista at the time had a great knowledge of coffee and was quick to bring them out to us.

The food was delicous and well cooked. I liked the breakfast menus name "eggs, eggs and more eggs"

i will definitely be going back there soon.

Amazing cafe and coffee experience! Why have I only just found out this place?

Foodies is a real find!

In my books it is rare to have a recommendation go beyond your expectations. This was undoubtedly one of those occasions. Talk about a great all round experience.

After magically landing a table- something that seemed like an impossibility- we began with some well crafted macchiatos: simple, white demitasse-enclosed jewels. Very well made. Granted, the blue skies and gentle breeze made for a genial backdrop, but the hot drinks and tempting menu pushed the occasion towards perfection.

Let's talk 'menu' for a moment. It is rare to master this crucial point of guidance. Regularly, an establishment will try to do too much. But those with half a culinary brain will know that 'the more the merrier' simply does not apply to matters of hospitality. Indeed, the other extreme can see simplicity turn to 'basic' and uninspiring. Foodies strikes a hearty balance between the two extremes: simplicity meets slightly divergent. Too vague for you? Let's just say that there are enough options, and they are good. Very tasty. This time it was 'eggs benny'. All day breakfast doesn't get much better than this!

Two hours later and a couple more coffees, and I can honestly say it was the best lunch I've had in a long time.

Advice? If you are heading down on a weekend, be prepared to wait around for a table; but it's worth the wait. Alternatively, get there a little earlier or later than prime time: say, before 12 or after 2pm.
