A mixed bag - good garage doors, very patch follow-up support
We moved into our house to discover it had a Gliderol brand garage door. It's a good product but, inevitably, things go wrong (the door would sometimes open of its own accord, creating a security issue for the house; and recently, it stopped working and needed a service call.)
That's when I learned the follow up support at Gliderol is a very mixed bag. On the upside, the installer / repairer used by Gliderol, a man named Nick at JTK Installations, was excellent: informed, caring and responsive.
On the downside is the service at Gliderol itself - the only person one can speak to about service matters, a woman named Jenny, is almost never at her desk, in my experience of trying to speak to her, and does not return phone calls (including one day when, after 2 or 3 attempts to book a service call so that the garage wouldn't be left open, allowing access to our house all weekend, I rang back to discover she had left for the day at 4pm.)
When recently I did get through to Jenny, she had to transfer me to another technician, one 'Adam'. And guess what -- he wasn't at his desk.
So, in all, good product, pretty patchy, trending crappy, back up support and service.
