Home Nightclub

Your first home will always hold some sentimental value because quite simply you grew up there. Home the Venue would be my clubbing 'home' then, it was the first club I ever went to and it still remains one of my favourite venues in Sydney. Catering for all music tastes and all crowds it sits in a prime location just opposite Imax in Darling Harbour. It is a really versatile venue, able to cater for events anywhere between 50 to 2100 patrons. The venue as you would've probably guessed by now is huge. It boasts 3 floors, a huge bar on every level (in some case more than one bar on a level) which are manned by warm and buzzing bartenders, a huge dancefloor on the bottom level and a plethora of other rooms on the other 2 (which will nearly all have DJ's so you'l always find music that you're into) and more than 2 designated smoking decks. Cover charge, depending on the event can range anywhere between $15 - $25 for your typical event. However, certain events may cost you more, it's always best to check before you turn up.

Thursday - Unipackers, during semester it usually isn't that crowded but you'll still have a fun night if you show up. During the breaks however, thats a different story...

Friday - Friday night is home to Sublime which is essentially a rave party on the third floor with a variety of DJs and there is still the mainstream Rnb stuff playing on the main dancefloor. 

Saturday - Saturday needs no introduction, Homemade Saturdays and it goes off! While on other nights only the bottom 2 levels may be open or just the Terrace (3rd floor) the entire place is open on Saturdays. It has to be one of the biggest parties in Sydney!

Sunday - The party doesn't stop after Homemade Saturdays. For the real brave clubbers Sunday is home to Spice: the after hours club. Opening it's doors at 5am and closing... well you'll just have to find out :)

Disregarding Spice, most events will close at around 4am, like most clubs in Sydney, occasionally they may close earlier or later. I highly recommend Home to anyone who is looking for a place to hit up and if you stop by you have to try their flaming cookie monster shooters. 

Word of warning: The bouncers are great guys, they are there to make sure everyone has a good time so don't get smart with them. You just won't get let in. There is a dress code but it isn't anything terribly strict but obviously don't rock up in thongs, boardies and a singlet.
