Like it, but don't really understand what all the fuss is about
The pasta is very good, but I can't rate Il Baretto more highly because of the hassle of no-bookings, which makes going there on a weekend evening virtually impossible. I do, however, recommend them for a great lunch, where you can enjoy the food and a calm environment with lovely light.
My Surry Hills Italian pick
Great local food. Simple menu with simple concept - high quality pasta. Fresh, fresh, fresh. The duck ragout tagliatellie (sp) is fantastic. For a casual or a special night this is my Surry Hills Italian pick.
