Freaking above and beyond the call of duty service!
I bought a laptop 3 months ago that gave me trouble from the day I got it home. I tried all the updates, all the drive installations, visited the Win7, Compaq and AMD sites on a daily basis trying to find out what the issue was. Even though it was under the warranty with Compaq, Compaq were unhelpful, rude, wouldn't call me back despite me calling from a mobile and running out of credit on two seperate occasions. I use the laptop for my own business and it became an absolute nightmare to deal with.
On Saturday, after losing 3 hrs of productivity and performing the 7th restart for the day, I gave up, bundled it up and caught a taxi to Jb Hi-fi Bondi Junction, the place I had bought it from. They were not meant to help as Compaq already had the serial number from my numerous calls to Compaq for assistance.
It wasn't JB's fault, but they got their house IT guy to check out the machine, they ran a full restore, identified there was a graphics card fault, an ATI switching problem AND a problem with the CPU. Talk about faulty! Max, who had spent the day trying to work with me to solve the problems excused himself... and came back with some magic news from his manager Alex.
Not only did they fight with Compaq on my behalf, they absorbed the machine, transferred the sale to a new machine AND upgraded me to a much more stable, fast and happy Asus with Intel processor! And they said any whiff of trouble with the new one to come straight in to let them know.
These guys were really nice, patient, helpful and were awesome both with their customer service policy as well as the way they treated me. They had no actual obligation to help me at all and could have just taken it and given it to Compaq to deal with... I will totally be singing their praises and shopping there for years to come.

No one beats them on price.
I have given up on network or cable tv. I know the shows I want to watch and am patient to wait for the DVD set to come out. No one beats them on price. I used to shop around for the price of the set I was after but have now given up and just go to JB to get what I am looking for. Their only faux problem (and this is a problem for them not for me) is that I have gotten so used to their discounting and sales that I never buy any of their full priced sets - even if I really want it. Instead I wait for them to discount. Their only real problem is that the staff are a little too cool for school. At times, too interested in flirting with each other to help out
