Total overpriced food
Just to clarify...the great prices at Kemeny's are on wine, NOT food. The food is totally overpriced. But heck - if I had a monopoly on Bondi Road grocery, I'd probably charge a fortune too.
Well worth the drive to Bondi Junction for grocery shopping.
Great prices, wide range, service? A little patchy
This always busy, longstanding Bondi bottle supermarket has an amazing range of wines, beers, spirits, etc. It's also extremely competitive price-wise.
But that seems to come at the expense of service. Staff aren't plentiful, and they're busy. The couple of guys who are the experts on top shelf wines, spirits are either snoots or hungover (I've never quite managed to work out which).
But if you're here for bargains, or know what you want, odds are they'll have it, and at a price that'll please.
