Little Dove Childcare, Cammeray

Little Dove Cammeray is located in the Stockland Cammeray Square complex on the top floor.  Cammeray Square is a mix of retail and residential and has been long needed in the lower north shore.

It's been open for about 2 years now and because the complex is new, so is everything in the child care centre.  New toys, new furniture, new everything.

There are 5 rooms that cater for kids 0-5 years and it has a pre-school programme.  If you work the hours are fantastic - 7.30-6.30pm.

The facilities are fantastic.  It has an enormous outdoor area that is covered with synthetic grass and have big shade sails so it's not too hot in summer.  And there's plenty of outdoor toys and physical equipment for the kids to play with and a big sandpit.

The carers are awesome.  They take the time in the morning to talk to you at drop off time and at the end of the day there is a laptop computer in each room that contains photos of the kids during the day plus a page that explains what they've been doing that day and focuses on some of the kids.

The curriculum is outstanding.  Every Friday a musical group called Hey De Ho comes to introduce music to the kids and the pre-school kids have a Mandarin lesson once a week!  At Easter they have a massive petting zoo for the kids - how they get the mini ponys, goats, pigs, chickens etc up in the lift I'll never know but it's a great day for the kids and they love riding the pony and patting all the animals.  A big spread is put on for the adults with hot-cross buns and other food.   

They've been really good to me.  My son has Autistic Spectrum Disorder and they've done everything they can to accommodate his needs.  They've organised for a special aide to help him during the day and they also provide a room for 3 hours on the days he attends for my private therapist to come and give him ABA therapy.

There's honestly not a bad word I can say about the place and I thoroughly trust them and my son has a fabulous day there.
