Mand's Indian Restaurant: Randwick

To eat in here is not anything particularly special: a fairly small, suburban restaurant where you'd be best advised to stick to the takeaway. The food, though, which is Tandoori Indian basics and favourites, is truly outstanding. I love my Indian and I've never found better in Sydney. Entrees and mains run about $10 to $20 and you won't want to go past makhan chicken (butter chicken), delicious spiced lamb cutlets, chicken tikka and brilliant dahl, korma and homemade chutneys. If you're not in their delivery area (which is still pretty wide across Sydney's east) it's even worth picking up from them. If there's better local Indian to be found, I haven't found it.
