Manly Cinemas

Manly Theatres is ideally located right near the Manly Wharf, and is a convenient back-end to a nice dinner, maybe at nearby Garfish or Hugo's. The theatre is really small - maybe four movies playing at any one time, and they don't have a lot of available time-slots. So, for instance, last night they had three movie choices playing and only two were after 8:00 pm. But, we found one we wanted to see, so popped over. Popcorn was not good - stale and expensive - I would ask them when it was popped before buying your $7 box and regretting it. Staff is nice. Tickets are market price ($16 pp last night). Can get crowded for a new movie b/c not that many seats, so it does pay to show up a little early to buy your tix on a weekend night for a new movie. All-in-all, a good option if you happen to like one of the movies on offer, and the timing works for you. Just don't expect anything flashy.
