Mezzaluna Ristorante Italiano

Date night whilst the cherubs stay at their grandparents and off to Mezzaluna to test the food my husband has been raving about.

It's a cold and wintery night so the french doors onto the verandah are closed and its warm and cosy inside. But if you're coming in summer, opt for outdoor dining and enjoy the ambience.

Food was delicious - pork belly for me and quail and porcini mushroom risotto for my other half (is your mouth watering yet?). The menu offers a great selection of hand made pastas (made by the chef on site), meat dishes and good options for appetisers and smaller mains.

Limited selection of wines by the glass (4 white and 4 red and some sparkling options including a good quality French champagne) but if you're not driving then there is a great wine list with a range of Australian and Italian wines to choose from (and your choice can be assisted by the very helpful wait staff).

Parking around Potts Point is a challenge so catch the train, a taxi or give yourself plenty of time to cruise for a parking spot.

All in all, great service, great location and even better food. We'll be back when it's warmer to enjoy outdoor dining.
