Gentle style but very effective - my one and only choice of physio in Sydney's east
I agree with the other review of Muriel Ginges' physiotherapy - she's excellent, with a gentle physical style, but one that's very effective in loosening up stiff muscles, joints, backs, necks, etc.
I've also found her pretty efficient in keeping to her appointments, and prices are not outrageous (with health insurance subsidy, I paid about $92 for a one hour session the other day).
She's my first choice on the rare occasions I need a physio, and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else in Sydney's east.
You might have to wait to be seen, but it's worth it.
I hesitate to recommend Muriel Ginges because it might mean I have to wait for my next appointment. She is one of a rare breed of Orthopaedic Manipulative physiotherapists - I think there are 35 in NSW. In her practice she sees one patient at a time: no ice cream cones with electricity running through them applied to you by an amateur in one cubicle while the same thing is taking place in another three or four in the name of physio. That's the kind of "treatment" that has given physiotherapy a bad name.Muriel is hands on. She looks over all of you, not just the bit that hurts, and works on the whole system. She is just as likely to talk to you about your posture and give you exercises to do as to simply fix your neck, if that's what brought you in. You might have to wait to be seen, but it's worth it. Or I might if you read this review and don't live too far away...
