Neighbourhood hang-out with all the deli delights
Right at the end of William Street, when you're exhausted from all that atelier shopping, just plop down for a delightful coffee amidst the locals. Although most people know it as a cafe for the healthful salads and sandwiches, Alimentari is a full deli. The cheese platter is something special. Just go with the recommendations of the fab staff behind the deli bar. They know what they're doing.
Great place to recharge in Paddo
For a chichi suburb, Paddington has precious few really good cafes. Alimentari, however, is one of them, serving delicious food items (including little dessert treats perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up) and excellent coffee. It also stocks gourmet grocery items and some frozen dinners, as well as offering a cheese selection. Staff are friendly, and it is nice to be off the main road - it's just down William Street from Oxford Street, so you can browse the cool shops on the way over. The only downside is that the seating is pretty limited, especially inside. Generally not a problem if you're solo, as you can perch at a counter, but can be a challenge if you're two or more at peak times.
