Aha! All day breakfast in Sydney!
My American roots come to the fore at lunchtimes, with a frequent craving for breakfast food at midday (I do miss those all day & night diners, even if the coffee is only slightly more caffeinated than water). And now I've found a spot - Pitt Street Diner! Had a delish french toast with banana on a recent lunch - yum - and with proper coffee and a classy, comfy setting as accompaniment, it was the full package. My companions' lunchtime savoury fare looked good too - I'll have to give it a go sometime, maybe one morning...
In the immortal words of Arnie: I'll be back!
Got to go here for the first time for lunch today. Nice customer service, good open decor and style really suited the warmness of a blue sky spring day.
Had a proper French style Croque Monsieur... which is rare- gruyere cheese, bechamel sauce and great quality bread and ham with a little tossed greeney topped off with a white iced tea with lemon and edlerflower was just what I needed.
Wouldn't come here with more than 3 friends as the place is rather narrow and would feel cramped and awkward- but I will totally be back to check out the dinner menu and also for a lazy breakfast nosh fest!
