Planet Hair

I went for the first time last weekend.  I had been trying different salons in Neutral Bay and Cremorne and, to be honest, was having trouble.  I was intent on finding one I could walk to on a Saturday, so I persevered.  They were either very expensive (and a bit on the pretentious side - I guess I'm not the ideal salon client, for them anyway) or cheap and inexperienced.  I have (long) hair that grows pretty quickly so, if I get a bad haircut, I'm not too worried, but I do like getting my hair done well, for a reasonable price, and cut into a style that grows nicely.

The stylist I had was Aya.  She was excellent.  We went through magazines and style books, she chopped, then washed my hair, and gave me an amazing head massage!  I know, we've all had head massages before, but a towel was placed over my knees, and a nice warm eye pack placed on my eyes!  I actually couldn't believe it.  Then, when in the chair, a warm pack was placed on the back of my neck and I got a back, neck and shoulder massage.  What a bonus!  Aya did a great job, and didn't charge the earth.  Those massages would have been worth it alone!  They even extended a 10% discount as a first timer.

Highly recommended.  I will definitely be back.
