Others like it only for the range and deals but I had an amazing customer service experience too
For the huge range of often very competitive prices, most people agree Rebel Sport - a massive, nationwide chain of sporting good megastores - is light on service as well as service people.
Maybe I was lucky then, but I managed to get not only a great deal on a potentially v. expensive item (a full size basketball stand and hoop for a kid's birthday), but great service from a young salesguy who lugged not one but two different sizes of the item for me to look over, and then even transported it down to the car park, a good 10 mins hike away, then helped me get the thing into my car.
I was blown away with his helpfulness and patience.
One more thing: NRMA members (which most of us are) often get 20% off on select days at Rebel Sport. Check their website or the NRMA site to find the days it's happening and do your shopping then. You'll save a fortune. eg. $265 worth of stuff ended up costing me only $185!
Whether for the deals or the service, I'll definitely be back.
