Royal Bar & Grill: Paddington

This is a gorgeous pub, at the heart of Five Ways Paddington in Sydney's East. It's a must visit if you never have. Several levels of atmospheric places to drink, great beers, and good function rooms upstairs for special occasions.

As to the dining room, it's waxed and waned over the years, depending on who's running it.

Mostly, it's dependable, and not absurdly overpriced quality mod oz (steak, fish, pasta etc.)

It's at its most glorious on sunny days if you can snag a table on the historic balcony (and by historic, one day it will fall into the street). But til then, don't miss a quintessential East Sydney lunch experience.
