So French, so Redfern!
You'll be back again and again
Warning! If you visit this unassuming little patisserie on busy Wyndham St you'll soon be back: again and again. This is an actual French patisserie, owned and run by an actual French family. Treats includes both savoury and sweet items such as gourmet baguettes and an amazing range of cakes. And while you're there, grab a coffee, you will not be disappointed. On a side note, at Christmas time, these guys have a range of amazing "Bouche de Noel" (traditional French Christmas cakes) - they are wonderfully enchanting for kids, and mouthwateringly indulgent for adults.
What's French for "hidden gem"?
I concur, the tarts, mousse, and puddings are really great. It seems to be something of a hidden gem, as it is in a rather unlikely location for a French patiserrie, located between Redfern St and Alexandria Technology park. While the food is as good or better as you would get at other comparable patisseries in Sydney, it seems to be a lot cheaper.Their is an authentic French feel about the place as the owner Gwen is French and a lot of the staff also seem to be French. Would highly recommend if you need a dessert or a nice lunch.
This place is amazing
This place is amazing. The cakes are second to none and very reasonably priced, everything's made out back by the chef who is often at front of house serving as well. The coffee is great, atmosphere chilled out, sandwiches cheap and delicious, other options for food (baguettes, tarts etc) are all fantastic. Really can't fault him, definitely my choice for a cake for a special occasion (the richest, best mudcake you've ever tried...).
