Samir Abla Pastry: Dulwich Hill

Abla has an old school, slightly fusty feel, with glass cases of highly decorated items and fluorescent lighting.  It doesn't have quite the sort of atmosphere that makes me want to sit and linger. But WOW is the baklava good.  They've got many different varieties too, all piled high, and very reasonably priced, so you can buy a big box or platter for your next hosting (or guesting) event and will be sure to impress, without breaking the bank.  On the same block as Oricco, too, so you can bring along the best roast chicken to go along with the best baklava if you really want to go all out.
