Absolutely gorgeous South Coast beach holiday location
As its name suggests, this is a more than 10km long, gorgeous beach on NSW's South Coast (about 2 hours' drive from Sydney). Only a small section is patrolled, and it's not a great surf beach, but it's a beautiful family holiday spot, complete with the mouth of a river where littlies can splash (supervised, of course) as a beach alternative. The usual amenities are there - a sand shower, etc. There's also great fishing to be done, and plenty of room for jogging or sunbathing away from any crowds gathered near the flags.
The beach is also no more than 5 mins' walk from most accommodation options (houses and apartments) in the small fishing town of Gerroa.
The NSW South Coast has many stunning beach options, and this, along with Hyams Beach, may be among the very best.
