Practically extortionists!
Simply Energy has passed my electricity bill onto a collections company when it was less than three weeks late! Yes my mistake that it's late but since it is at a collections company it will now cost me $115.00 in 'legal fees' to finalise the bill. That's what they say and I think it's outrageous. I'm also not so sure they can call it 'legal fees' when it is just with a collections company. Does anyone know? And I'm a working person who had this bill in our radar to pay this month - what if I was completely financially disadvantaged and struggling to pay it and then get slugged with the extra 'legal fees' after only three weeks? Sickening!
