Fantastic coffee... but a little too cool for shcool
Cannot fault the coffee but the service makes me stabby especially before a morning caffeine hit.
Probably Sydney's best coffee!

This place is amazing!!! And how can you tell... it is always PACKED and yet people would prefer to wait in line instead of walking to one of the other cafe's not more than 10 steps away!!!
The staff have personality and really love what they do!!
Last but not least the COFFEE is ............ there are no words to describe it. Amazing, Wonderful and Heavenly just don't quite do it justice!!!
But be careful... once you go there really is no turning back!!!
Great coffee and sydneys best savoury muffins
Munching on a bacon and pesto muffin as I write. Great flat white too; slurp....
Awesome savoury muffins... still bit too hipster
I do love Single Origin... the staff are really warm and friendly, the savoury muffins are tummy tickling happy hippy heaven and the coffee is just sublime.
I don't like the wee bit of hipster snobbery in the patrons though, the "hey you aren't ridin' a fixie and wearing aviators so something's not cool man" vibe really irks me. Sorry guys but I'm there for my breakfast, not to be part of your morning parade of "we're so hip we invented hip". News flash- your clothes don't make ya spesh schweetheart, yr just buying coffee and food like everyone else!
Nothing but positive feedback
This place has really some some damage in the coffee world. The commitment these guys have to coffee is almost unrivalled.
They rarely miss a beat when it comes to serving an amazing ristretto, latte or double macchiato. I once sat down to have 3 or 4 coffees and a cold beverage with my sister. We ended up talking to the owner, Gavin at the time, for about 45 mins about how dairy farming procedures were changing the milk-based coffee experience.
It was a great experience! Amazing coffee every time. Very cool location too. Wow!
Pumpkin soup anyone?
I think it has been said, but it must be again, the coffee at Single Origin is always a top-notch cup. They are all about quality here, sending each cup out to the customer with a double ristretto shot of coffee, making the coffee that much richer and a little stronger than your usual cup. Spending the extra money on each shot didn't seem to be a problem at all in the eyes of the owner when I asked why this was so. His answer was that it isd all about the coffee and all about the quality. This is very evident.
Another stand out meal I experienced was the pumpkin soup. Very flavoursome, good on a chilly wonter's day and good sized portions make me want to go back for more!
Great coffee, good muffins
Had read about Single Origin on Customer Underground and was eager to try it, so very excited to have had an excuse the other day (an event across the street from them). And I was not disappointed. The coffee was excellent! I had a savoury muffin too, which was very good, and I really like the buzzy vibe too - there were a lot of people there, spilling out onto the sidewalk seating, creating a great energy about the place. And despite the crowd, the staff were calm, took my order straight away, and the wait was not too bad. I'll be back.
