Spinners

Spinners are referral service -- great for when you haven't got a clue where to start (or no one's written the right Customer Underground review!). They're very quick, and vet their contractors well, and have good people on the phones, good customer service. We've always had good quality - and have used them for plasterers (ask for George, he's a chatty perfectionist!), roof repairs and random other bits and pieces around the place.

They claim to be able to do full scale renovations, but when I got them to quote on a kitchen makeover (replacing benchtops, appliances and splashbacks), they were more than 3x the nearest quote (and the one we went with did a super job), so our experience is that their model doesn't quite work for that.

But if you need someone in a hurry, and you want to be confident that they'll do a high quality job in a timely fashion -- worth a call!
