A great Darlinghurst hunger-destroyer
Tropicana (the place where Tropfest began) is the best run eating establishment I have ever been to. You pay in advance at the register, the staff are friendly, and the (Italian-standards) food arrives almost before you sit down. The food is always piping hot and consistently good. A great Darlinghurst hunger-destroyer.
Always reliable (is that a tautology?)
Love going here. Food is always good. Fast and inexpensive. And there's always a character or two to be spotted. Adds to the dining experieince, me thinks.
Quick, but lacks personality
Agree with mrimat about the efficiency - it's a relief to go to a cafe where things happen quickly. However, I am not a fan of the food, and find the atmosphere a bit too cafeteria-like.

Unbeatable for value, convenience, cleanliness and food. Owner sits at the back 24/7 making sure that everything runs the way it should - and it does.
