OK I have to rant here because Virign Mobile have either lost their minds or been drinking copious amounts of gin during the day.  Yesterday I tried to recharge my account with them (the same account I've had for NEARLY 10 YEARS) via the internet (I'm on an internet-only rate).  The page told me this was not possible and to call customer service. 

You know it's bad when the customer service agent STARTS BY APOLOGISING - I really feel sorry for their call centre staff who I'm sure will all need stress leave.  Apparently some genius in management decided all customers had to provide 100 points of ID to use their (existing) credit card to recharge their account - after 10 years???? A little 'that ship has sailed', non? 

The truly staggering part is that they did not feel the need to inform customers they now required 100 points of ID UNTIL CREDIT HAD RUN OUT!!

The cherry on the top was asking me to FAX the ID to them - as my son said recently about the fax - "oh yes that was the olden days way"....

Moments of insanity...
