vodafone is dying
on going issues with NO RECEPTION! vodafone GET HELP or i'm changing when my plan is up!!!!!
Frustrating Recharge Issues
I have a bunch of Vodafone products including the $79 cap iphone plan, and two pre-paid sticks for laptops, and a pre-paid SIM for the ipad. I am underwhelmed with their customer service. Particularly, recharging the wireless sticks for the laptops. So, if you go on to the site and try and recharge the stick, they give you the option of recharging with a credit card. But a lot of cards are not "authorized" and it is very frustrating! Not a single card that I have (out of 5-6) work. So I called customer service three different times, and no-one could figure it out. Until one bright spark asked their manager and it turns out that you need 1. An Australian credit card and 2. Only certain Australian credit cards work. E.g. ANZ doesn't have a "relationship" with Vodafone, so their Visa cards don't work. Hmmmm. ANZ is a pretty big bank... In any case, after a long goose chase, the answer was, "go down to your local shop and buy a voucher." Hmmmm. I guess they don't want to take my money...
Bad customer service
I went to the store in QVB and the service was bad. I stood there in front of the sales guy for mins before he asked me if I needed something. Then, he wasn't very interested in helping me and told me I could go online to check the plans...
Vodafone is not the worst thing to happen to the world
I know i'm in the minority but I havent really ever had a problem with vodafone. I think i live in a pretty good reception area for most companies so that probaly helps but the service has always been good and I never go over my cap. No complaints here sorry.
Average at best
Vodafone initially seemed like a good idea, they used to have probably the best iphone plans on the market but after a little while with them it is pretty clear they are going down hill. The reception sucks, the customer service isn't helpful at all, they shut down a friend of mines account without even telling her they were going to do it. They didn't do anything that bad to me, but it's still unnerving. Even though i got a better phone with them, the overall hassle has probably not been worth it- i don't think i'll be renewing my contract unless they shape up soon.
Only one problem: there is no easy venue for lodging a problem or a complaint.
One year ago, Vodafone changed my life with its capped plan and free Blackberry. I never seem to exceed my cap, although I use the phone mercilessly for business and personal use. When I take the phone into one of the many Vodafone stores, whether they know me or not, I get quick and efficient service and problems are solved without fuss. Only one problem: there is no easy venue for lodging a problem or a complaint. I know. I tried. I emailed and got no reply. I phoned and was finally given an address. I wrote and nine months later, I'm still waiting to hear back. Fix this, Vodafone lovelies, and your troubles are over.
Good value pre-paid plans overall
Good value pre-paid plans overall. I just struggled to load my credit card details on it for automatic recharge. I got routed and re-routed through loops of automatic calls that would get me no-where! Very frustrating and totally unable to speak with a real person at any point. Once set-up, you are fine and good to go though
In the world of confusing iPhone plans, vodafone isn't bad
If you are lucky and it's not busy, the people in the shop take the time to help you find apps, teach you about wi-fi and other tips for downloading, and are nice. They have a good iPhone plan that includes a free phone. BUT if you go with the iPhone plan, you may want to opt for insurance because if it gets lost of stolen you are buying a brand new full-priced handset with no discounts.
