Vodafone shop: George St Sydney

Vodafone is like the husband who breaks so many dishes that you never let him near the sink. And then when he actually manages to wash one little mug, you jump up-and-down for glee. And the bar is set really low for Vodafone stores. But, I needed a new pre-paid internet sim card, so gritted my teeth and went into the Vodafone shop on George Street. The location is convenient to Martin Place, and to my office, so here's goes nothing! Simple enough request, one little sim card... Except that it never is. Need a billion "points" of ID just to get a $29.95 prepaid little voucher & card. I actually had to whip out my passport to be allowed to purchase this! And I already own two Vodafone pre-paid internet sticks and my iPhone is on a 2 year contract with Vodafone, and my husband's blackberry is on Vodafone. So, you would think, that we would be treated as valued customers, but of course, nothing of the kind. Anyhousers, the shop was empty when I went, and the guy behind the counter was semi-polite and semi-effective. He cracked under the pressure of my barrage of questions, but in the end, got me what I wanted, with only taking 15 minutes of time. Which is way better than most Vodafone shops, earning them a 3-star review.
