Such a great dinner! AMAZING!
Ok! Compare what you get at Waqu with ANYTHING else that is on the North Shore. Degustation, $60, 6 courses of fusion ancient Japanese and modern Australian, interesting flavours, clever presentation. I can't think of anything that compares.
The service is prompt, the atmosphere is congenial. I recommend BYO wine, for the penny pinchers, but apart from that, it is such a great experience. The food is clever, tasty and interesting. Book well in advance, because the reputation is spreading and justified!
A quarterly must!
You don't want to miss their quarterly degustation menu, ever! This restaurant is impressive on so many levels, but foremost it is the incredible value for money. A degustation meal for a fraction of the price of well known restaurants, yet its food and service most definitely match these well known restaurants. Waqu, you never fail to impress us.
