Good place to take the kids for dinner
Kids eat free here until 7pm. Adult choices are pretty pricey but the food is good. The nice part about eating out in Stockland Square with the family is the kids can safely play in the square while the parents eat.
Great restaurant
I went with trepidation to Wild Sage as I'd heard from some friends that the customer service was abysmal. However, I found it fantastic. I've been there on 2 occasions - once with my husband and the other with 9 other girls and both times it's been wonderful. The food is great. The first time I had the steak (with great bernaise sauce) and the chocolate fondant (to die for). The second time I had the gnocchi special and honestly, it was the best gnocchi I've ever had. Just divine.
There's also a waiter that moonlights as an opera singer. When dining there, all of a sudden he just breaks into about 2 songs. He does it once or twice a night and it's just something a little different. If I went there often it might annoy me but I think it's fun.
Terrible Service, food not too bad
I've persevered with this restaurant, I really have. I've tried all permutations of the experience; with hubbie for a candlelit smooch and slurp, with the girls for a raucous girls night out, and with the kids for an feed and run. The only good experience has been in there for a bottle of wine and some bar food. Maybe the wine anaesthetised the service, I don't know.
Shame really, because the food has flashes of good, but if they want to survive they have to sort out the front of house. Get the staff trained and competent and get them working a process so they're not all wandering aorund aimlessly while your food sits in on the counter waiting for you. Oh, that's if your food order makes it to the kitchen at all.....
Multi million dollar fit out, place looks great, but the return on capital for investors is going to come from a CGT loss if they don't lift the bar, and soon.
