Zig Zag Zoug Toy Shop

We love this toy shop as it has something of the old fashioned about it. Located in the front of a terrace house,  it has friendly staff and a good selection. The local staff always have special welcoming decorations (a big snowman with paper made snow flakes occupy the front garden during winter, rabbits at easter time etc) that makes a trip down there with the children a bit of an excusion.

If you are like me, and have a soft spot for wooden toys and the good old solid european labels, you will like the selection.

On the down side, the shop can get a bit crammed and can be a bit testing to enter with large prams. Also, if you have little boys that love playing trains, saying good bye to their activity table/train set (which serves you well while trying to select that last minute birthday present) can bring on a tantrum and a darling street scene. Locals tell me they are used to it!
