Outstanding Service and matching meal
After scouring the internet for a place to dine one friday night, my fiancee and i decided to make a reservation at Zippos.
Although easy to get to, to end up at Zippos you would have to plan to go there first, it is not in a location where you could stumble across. I believe that this adds a certain "special occasion" feel to the experience.
Upon entering i notice that the restaurant is uncluttered, yet not empty in terms of tables etc. i like this because it feels inviting and that the chances of our meal being interrupted by various groups of loud patrons at other tables will be minimal.
the other thing i notice as we are shown to our table is the lounge area. i like the option of sitting back in a more comfortable setting after our meal where we can enjoy some cofee or liquors.
The owner/manager Emmy introduces herself to us, and we instantly feel like she wants us to enjoy the whole experience.
The menu held many intriguing items and of the ones we have tried to this date, there has been nothing lacking.
Service at Zippos has been outstanding on every occasion, and we have taken friends and family out to dinner at Zippos on several occasions.
Due to the great location (looking out onto kyle bay), outstanding service, and top quality food we have opted to have our wedding reception at Zippos. Emmy has been very accomodating thus far and we believe it is going to be the best reception we have ever been to.
i highly reccomend Zippos, while not a cheap venue to dine at, you certainly get what you pay for, and i believe it is well worth it.
Good food and a great location.
The food here is excellent and the location is certainly wonderful. Even though it is located where there is little other retail or restaurants around it is worth travelling to. The service was also very good and nothing waS too much trouble. Prices were fair for this kind of restaurant and the quality of the food and service. Paying between $28 and $35 for a main meal seemed like the going rate especially when the food is combined with the wonderful location.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant and we even had the adventure with kids.
