Budget Bitch: Sydney review by marzipan

So we want to make sure that we are saving enough, investing enough and then having a great time in between.  We have tried to make budgets before, but invariably they get saved in some folder on the computer, never to be looked again until the next year.  A few too many spreadsheets, and not enough action.  Too complicated. Enter the Budget Bitch. She came to our house for $175 and went through our records, pay stubs, investment accounts and everything (3 hours worth of detailed questioning) and the end result? A very simple system that works. She backed us through our fixed expenses (rent, phone, car etc.) and then looked at our savings/investment goals, and then told us how much spending money we get. So, I am perfectly happy. I get my spending money at the beginning of the week, and then I get to spend it! No strings attached. And I don’t have to think about everything else b/c it is automated. No more spreadsheets or fuss. Not a process that I really enjoyed during the appointment, but the end result is a no-brainer.
