Energy Australia review by higherthanexpectedcallvolumes
Exactly what you'd expect of a Govt. business - polite but woefully inefficient
It's been going on for months now. In our old house, we had our gas with AGL and our electricity with Energy Australia. In our new place, we made the fateful decision to switch both gas and electricity to Energy Australia. Complication? We live at 108A in our street (not 108; you can see where this is heading, right?)
Sure enough, we kept receiving our electricity bills (that involved a simple change of address notification).
But as to gas, we stopped getting bills altogether. Turns out they were going next door, to no. 108, and, it seems, we were paying for their gas.
We notified Energy Australia - after a long time on the phone in more than one call, they confirmed the mistake; told us they'd start billing us at our new address and close off our account next door.
Months later, we've just receiving confirmation, apparently, we'll be getting our gas bills at our correct address. And they finally sent us a final bill for our gas at the house next door. But where did they send it? You got it - to the wrong address (the house next door, again).
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel better now, thanks.

i recommend avoiding them.
i recommend avoiding them. their customer service has to be the worst of the bunch. they were dodgy when trying to get me to sign up, and their staff on the phones are rude and unhelpful. i've had nothing but troubles with them.
