Palace Academy Twin review by Died On Hold

Lobbed up to the Academy Twin on the weekend with Mrs Died On Hold for our first movie in months, only to find we'd mistimed our run and arrived 10 minutes after the movie (Animal Kingdom) had started. Not wishing to waste a night's babysitting, nor wanting to feel like we'd missed something crucial in the movie, we were unsure what to do. So we asked the guy at the candy bar:

  Us - Has the movie started?

  Him - Yes, 8 minutes ago.

  Us - What happens in the first ten minutes?

  Him - [Explains what happens in the first ten minutes, in ten seconds]

  Us - Nothing else?

  Him - Nothing else.

  Us - What choc-top is better - banana or vanilla?

  Him - Vanilla, definitely.

  We bought the ice cream, saw the movie and thoroughly enjoyed the night, thanks to a friendly, honest and amusing bit of customer service. Good work Academy Twin!
